Deering Art Clients
Deering Studio made history for the State of Arkansas creating "Testament" , a 9 life size figure piece commemorating the civil rights advancement in the Little Rock Nine. This piece shows 9 students as they appeared in 1957 when they were the first students to desegregate the school. The National Guard was called out to set order. It became a national event to change history in civil rights. This is the first civil rights memorial on any state capitol in the United States of America. The Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation and the Arkansas Legislature funded this piece for the Arkansas State Capitol.
Deering Art takes special care to understand the unique needs of each of our clients to design custom sculptures that exceed expectations.

"Going Home" is a lifesize bronze of a soldier in full combat gear. It is a tribute to the Arkansans who gave all for the Vietnam War. Behind the sculpture is a wall with names inscribed. The piece helps the healing as letters flowers and momentos are left on "Leroy" . He is located at the Arkansas Vietnam Veterans Memorial located at the Arkansas State Capitol
